The Conseil national de régulation de l'audiovisuel has issued a statement calling for restraint on the part of journalists and media players. Indeed, in these days of election campaign for the anticipated legislative elections, the Senegalese political arena is shaken by verbal and physical violence, so the regulatory body comes out of its reserve and warns.
"In the run-up to the early parliamentary elections on November 17 2024 and, as part of the election campaign, the media relayed comments likely to provoke violence or tension.
